Antoni (Tony) Heppner
Antoni (Tony) Heppner passed away peacefully on Saturday June 23, 2018 at the Riverview Health Centre. Tony was born on April 22, 1940 in Poland and arrived in Winnipeg with his parents and sister Maria in 1952. He leaves behind his loving nieces Monique (Marc Delannoy) and Mireille (Bryan Allen), his brother-in-law Jean (Armande Leclair) and great-nephews, Trevor, Luc, Gabriel, Clement, Julien and great niece Julie, cousins Barbara and Malgorzata in Ottawa as well as cousins in Poland.
He was predeceased by his loving parents Franciszek (Frank) Heppner and Waleria Sredzinska and his beloved sister Maria.
The family is grateful for the friendship and care given to Tony in the past years by the staff on Home Street, Rev. Elaine Pinto and Marnie Chivers, the community of St. Margaret’s Anglican Church and finally the staff of Riverview Health Centre.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 3rd at St Margaret’s Anglican, 160 Ethelbert Street. Interment to follow at the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be made in his memory to the Manitoba Mental Health Association.
