On June 15, 2018 Joyce Elizabeth Daechsel (nee Johnson) went to be with the angels. Born September 22, 1935. Joyce is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Lou and her four children: Tim (Patty), Brenda (Dan) Paige, Barb Thomas and Pati (David) Aoki. Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In 1957 Joyce and Lou moved to Penticton from Regina Sask. She loved to spend hours in her sewing room on many projects for her family and was an amazing baker. Joyce worked at the El Rancho Restaurant in the early 70’s and then Elmer’s Cannery for many summer seasons. But her most important job and what she loved the most, was as wife, mother and grandmother. No service is planned at this time. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Moog & Friends Hospice House.
