Barbara Lorraine Mullins
January 10, 1937 – June 16, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Lorraine Mullins, Halifax, surrounded by her loving family on June 16, 2018. Age 81. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of Robert and Doris (Steffen) Peek.
Barbara worked for Maritime Tel and Tel, after moving to Montreal she worked for Bell Canada until her retirement. Barb was an avid walker and could be found any day walking to Tim Horton’s and the Royal Bank on Quinpool Rd. Barb was noted for her beautiful smile, lovely hair and her twinkling eyes. Barb was an amazing, strong, independent women.
Barbara is survived by her children; Sonya, Montreal; Sean (Lesley), Vancouver; grandchildren; Julian, George, Victoria, Nola and Nathan; sisters Doris Royale, Nancy (Rene) Gagne; brother Phillip (Kathy) Peek; nieces and nephews; Patty, Ginny, Larry, Todd, Troy, Mark, Michelle, Nadine, Amber and Phillip, and her many friends. Barbara was predeceased by her parents; husband Denis; brothers Robert and Ernie Peek; sisters-in-law Joan and Marie Peek.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Friday, June 22, 1 PM in the Sky Lounge of 2717 Gladstone St. Halifax with Pastor Keith Wells, Mosaic Ministeries officiating. A reception will follow. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
