Mercer, Lois (nee Porter)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom on April 25, 2018 in Ontario, with her devoted family by her side. Predeceased by her loving husband, Leo in 1994. Beloved mother to Karen (Gary), Beverley (Barry), Anita (Caroline) and Dianne (Najje). Proud Nanny to Mark and Andrew Walsh; Bobby and Nancy Clarke; Nathaniel Welch; and Mckenna Ali. Great grandmother to 2 special boys Jaxon and Carter. Left to mourn is her sister-in-law Marie Earle, special nieces Michelle and Paula along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family wish to express sincere thanks to The Staff of Fairview Nursing Home, who provided exceptional care to her during her stay. They truly made a home for Mom and her family. Cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation at Hickey’s Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Friday, June 22 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society of Newfoundland and Labrador. Burial will take place at a later date.
