It is with great sadness that the family of the late Yve Lainey announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Wednesday June 13th, 2018 at the age of 69 years. He will be sadly missed by his two daughters; Jacqueline (Corey) Sheppard in Abbottsford BC and Jennifer Lainey (Abdul Yaqubi) in Scarborough ON, his six brothers: Francis (Theresa) Madore in Nova Scotia, Gerard (Kim) Lainey in Alberta, Joe (Mary-Ann) in Fox Island River, Gilbert (Dinah) Lainey in British Columbia, Tony Lainey in Nova Scotia and Chris (Sharon) Lainey in Stephenville, his five sisters: Mary (Wallace) Moore in Prince Edward Island, Doreen (Howard) Winsor in Nova Scotia, Rita Lainey in Stephenville, Agatha Gale and Margaret Gale both in Alberta, his four grandchildren; Samantha, Gregory, Kaitlyn and Adriana along with a large number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Gerald and Theresa Lainey and his three sisters; Genevieve Shears, Teresita Hynes and Rose Ethel Lainey. The family will be receiving friends at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville on Friday June 15th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will take place on Saturday June 16th, 2018 at 10am from St. Stephen’s Parish on West Street with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway.
