Lois Catherin Davidson
1922-2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Lois
Catherin Davidson announces her passing at the Veterans Health Unit,
Fredericton, NB on Tuesday June 12, 2018.
She is the last surviving member of her family.
Lois is the daughter of the
late Samuel Newton Hodgson and Catherine Moore (Moss) and the wife of
the late Roy Davidson. Born in
Charters Settlement and raised in Devon, she was predeceased by her
son Robert and 11 brothers and sisters.
Lois is survived by her sons, Charles (Laurie) and
Doug; daughters Judy and Brenda; grandchildren, Amy, Michelle, Scott,
Brad and great-grandchildren, Brianna, Hunter, Horatio, Cole, Andy,
Kaleigh, Samantha, Lexie, Emma, Jonathon and Jackson.
She was a member of the Canadian Women’s
Army Corps (CWAC), having served in Montreal, England, and Germany.
Lois was a faithful member of the Geary and Oromocto Baptist Churches.
She was also a member of the W.M.S., the Baptist Council and the Green
Hill Lake Board, Elections Officer for the Town of Oromocto and the
School Board District 25. With her love of curling she was also the
proud coach of the OHS girls curling team.
Visitation will be held on Friday June 15, 2018 from
2-4pm and 7-9pm with a Legion Tribute at 6:30pm at the Oromocto
Funeral Home. A funeral service
officiated by Reverend Robert Weaver will be held at the Geary Baptist
Church on Saturday June 16 at 2pm. Private interment will be held at
the Morrow Cemetery.
Due to family allergies, the
family has requested that no flowers be sent, but if so desired,
memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or
donor’s choice.
