Anne Agnes Watson
23 August , 1919 – 30 January , 2018
WATSON, Annie Agnes (Driscoll) (Maxwell) “Nano” – 98, of Dartmouth passed away on January 29, 2018. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Annie (Kane) Driscoll. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by her children Kim (Debbie) Watson and their children Amy and Paul, Alexis Hinton and her children Alyson, Samantha, and Katie, seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, six great greatgrandchildren Predeceased by her sisters Doris, Laurie, Aleitha, Joan and only brother Stuart, her first husband Austin Maxwell, her daughter Jacquelyn Maxwell, her daughter Sharon (Maxwell) Veinot, who is survived by her spouse Vernon Veinot and their two daughters Jacquelyn and Andrea, her second husband Alexander Watson. Throughout her life Anne lived in many areas of the city of Dartmouth, then periods in Sarnia and Brantford, Ontario, returned to Dartmouth, NS in 1972 finally settling into her Condo on Portland St. across from St. James United Church. After losing her youngest and last sister in 2013 she finally agreed to move to Ontario to be near some of her grand and great grandchildren. She always enjoyed going out for a drive with her sisters which was really just an excuse for them to find a new restaurant to try. Loved her cat Mac, and as far as she was concerned any black cat was Mac whether they liked the name or not. A proud member of The Eastern Star for more than 50 years. She worked in several branches of the provincial and federal government over her 30 year career. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11am in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street. Burial will take place in Mount Hermon Cemetery. Family flowers only donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation.
