Mabel Maud Fairn
March 11, 1931 – December 17, 2017
FAIRN, Mabel Maud – age 86, of Middleton, passed away in the same sweet
manner as she lived her life on Sunday, December 17, 2017 in the Heart of the
Valley Long Term Care Centre, Middleton. Born March 11, 1931 in Windsor,
NS, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Annie (Barron) Mason and step
daughter to Kathleen (McDonaugh) Mason. Mom took great pride and joy in her
family. She was a devoted wife and mother and she loved everyone
unconditionally. Mom loved the Lord and was a member of Middleton United
Baptist Church and she also enjoyed the church services at Heart of the Valley.
Mom was a loving, kind soul who was loved dearly by her family. She will be
missed by her son, Harold (Beth) Fairn of Granville Centre; her daughters,
Joanne (John) Carver of Aylesford; Pam (Jim) Wells of St. John’s, NL and Judy
(Graham) Bent of Middleton; brother, George (Claribel) Mason; sisters, Betty
MacLeod and Mary Burgess; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her
nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mabel was predeceased by her loving
husband, Vincent « Bud »; grandson, Adam Fairn; brothers, Clifford Mason, Bob
Mason, Avery Mason and sister, Shirley McLearn. Cremation has taken place. A
memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Middleton
Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448 with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in
