OBITUARY
Lola Irene Kozak
17 April , 1931 – 27 April , 2018
Marie Lola Irene Kozak peacefully passed away on April 27, 2018 at the age of 87.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters Janet MacDonald and Maria Anderson and granddaughter Sarah Anderson. Also left to cherish her memory are her sisters Mona, Roma, Anna, Rita (Mickey), sister-in-law Betty, brothers Ovila and Romeo (Linda) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband John Kozak, parents Joseph and Bernadette Ducharme, son Richard MacDonald, one sister and 3 brothers.
She was born on April 17, 1931 in St. Boniface hospital. Her family resided in St. Laurent, Manitoba before moving to Fort Rouge where Lola attended Earl Grey School. Lola started working as a teenager for Frankel’s grocery store and went on to hold numerous jobs before contributing 20 years of service at Greyhound Bus Lines.
She will forever be remembered as a strong and generous person who lovingly cared for her family and friends throughout her life.
A service will be held at 2:00 pm on May 7, at Thompson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivary Boulevard. Interment will follow. The reception will take place at Red River Community Centre, 293 Murray Ave, from 4:30-8:30 pm.
