William (Bill) Rodger White
On May 1, 2018 Bill White of Rochester, Alberta, passed away at the age of 77 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife Jean Lys, Bill’s children Tammy (Brian), Teresa (Chris), and Carla (Dean), sister Judy (Jim), brothers Robert and Ron, grandchildren Tara, Justin, Kaleigh, Ariana, Olivia, and 6 great-grandchildren. Bill was also survived by Jean’s 3 children Brenda (Bob), Kevin (Julie) and Sharon (Randy), grandchildren Candice, Marti, Madison, Trent, Tanis and Thomas and 2 great-grandchilden.
Bill is predeceased by his parents Fredrick and Enid White of Victoria, BC, his biological mother Sarah “Bonnie” Faddegon of Vernon, BC and grandson Michael of Westlock, Alberta.
Bill was born in Victoria and worked in BC as a landscaper and with the City of Victoria Parks Department until he moved to Alberta in 1976. Bill worked in the oilfield, driving truck, welding and was mostly known for his green thumb. Bill was also well known for his greenhouse business (White’s Greenhouse) growing tomatoes, bedding plants and vegetables.
