Hazel Peggy Marguerite Walsh 1952 2018

Obituary of Hazel « Peggy » Walsh
Mrs. Hazel Marguerite Walsh was born on December 21, 1952 in Sus , NB; She was the daughter of the late James and Marie (Crossman) Pearson.
Peggy graduated from Sus High School in 1970, after high school she moved to Moncton for a short period of time and worked at Eaton’s.
On July 15, 1972, Peggy married the love of her life, Richard Walsh and on March 28, 1975 she welcomed into the world her most cherished possession, her son, Kevin Richard Walsh. Their little family was now complete.
Family was always the most important thing to Peggy; She was a housewife who provided care for her son, father and husband, she always put her family first and had an open door policy for family and friends. Even though she was not an avid traveler, she enjoyed her many trips to Ontario to visit her two sisters, Shirley and Carol and their families. One year Peggy and Carol spent countless hours perfecting there sanding and staining technique, they had it down to a fine art. With countless projects to be proud of.
In 1999, Peggy had to learn to share her only child with his new wife Tammy. This was something she did graciously and instantly welcomed and created a bond with Tammy that would never be broken.
Peggy was a mother first but being a grandmother was definitely her calling. She had two grandchildren (Brody & Gracelyn) who she doted on constantly and thought the world of. They lovingly nicknamed her “Gram Cracker” and she always answered to it with an adoring smile. Peggy enjoyed watching movies, and playing board games with her grand kids, she also loved playing mini sticks where she took loss graciously, even though she knew Brody cheated.
Peggy enjoyed knitting afghans and slippers for everyone and caring for her plants. Her family all received more slippers than they knew what to do with. She loved to cook, do puzzles and another highlight of her life was calling and talking for hours with her niece, Kelly.
In 2008 Peggy lost the love of her life when Rick lost his battle to cancer. Today she will be reunited with him and her heart will be complete again.
Peggy had the most amazing and sparkling personality and continued to make us all laugh continually. She was always someone that you could count on for guidance, acceptance and love, and support, by attending sports games like baseball and hockey while members of her family played with all their heart and soul, or for something as small as a hug or words of encouragement, I LOVE YOU TOO DEAR was constantly heard on a regular basis.
Hazel will live on in the hearts of her son, Kevin Walsh (Tammy) of Grand Bay ; her grandchildren: Brody and Gracelyn; her uncle and aunt, Lloyd and Rita (Pearson) Webb; her special niece, Kelly Dempster; as well as several nieces and nephews.
