MERCIER, Jules Emile – With family by his side at Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Jules Mercier died on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the age of 90. Loving father of
Michel (Patti), Port Lambton, Norman, B.C., John (Leslie) B.C., Donald, Sarnia, Pierre (Barb), Sarnia, Alain (Tammy) B.C. and Mary Anne (Rae Warren), Petrolia (their mother Clarette) Cherished grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 17. Dear brother of Obald, Roger, Georgette, Lourette, Lucienne, Noella, Larry, Denis, Henri-Louis, Micheline and Ginette. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Patrick & Marianne, grandson Clifford Thomas and siblings Gervais, Marie, Rosaire, Cecile, and Dolores. Jules worked for Fiberglas Canada for over 30 years retiring in 1987. He enjoyed working on cars and travelling. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service will be celebrated by Fr. Kathemo Mukucha at the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel immediately following visitation at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
