Marie Irene Giordano (nee Dorion)
Marie entered this world on January 23rd, 1926 under challenging circumstances but she persevered then and kept this indomitable strength of hers right up to her passing on April 24, 2018 in her 92nd year. While she had to endure some physical and mental ordeals more recently, she always maintained her good-naturedness, strength and grace throughout and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Nicholas Albert Giordano, and resided in Toronto for most of her life. She will be alive forever in the memories of her children Carolann Johnston (Ross). Linda Leone (Jim), Sandra Baldwin (David) , Nicholas V. Giordano, Her grandchildren: Annmarie, Jamie, Adrienne, Dorian, Season, Nicholas and Kathryn and Great Grandchildren: Basil, Aaron, Rhys, Loretta, Elliot, Victoria, Thomas, Beau, Theo and Oscar In her final days Marie was comforted with her memories of the Dorion farm in Penetanguishene with her many brothers and sisters. A celebration of Marie’s life will be held on May 3rd. at Salon Funeraire, 155 Main St., Penetanguishene at 11:00 am with Mass to follow at St Anne’s Church at 1:00 pm. followed by lunch in the parish hall. Her family wishes to acknowledge the gentle care of all the wonderful staff at Hillcrest Village, Heritage Wing and particularly the exceptional care of Liz Acs Home Care who became more like family than her PSW nurse.
