With heavy hearts the family of Myrtle Arlene Matheson announces her passing on Saturday April 21, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1935 in Tilley, NB she lived most of her life in Kincardine, NB caring for and raising her family and the past three years at the Loch Lomond Villa, Saint John, NB enjoying visits from family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Gordon and Janet (Giberson) Allaby Rollins. She is survived by her sons Robert (Peggy) of Saint John, Clifford (Judy) of Calgary, Donald (Tina) of Saint John, Stephen (Cecilia) of Michigan, Paul (Norma) of Fredericton, John (Michelle) of White Horse, YK; daughters Jackie (Bernie) LaCasse of North Bay, ON and Jean (Garry) Sharp of Calgary; siblings Gordon (Wendy), Windsor (Maxine), Randy (Ferne), Warren (Gail) and Rose Marie Allaby; 20 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews and lifelong friends from Kincardine, NB and Perth Andover, NB. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Alex R. Matheson Jr., infant son Timothy; infant granddaughter Susan; brothers Howard, Ronald and Wayne; sisters Maxine and June. Myrtle was truly devoted to her family and will be greatly missed.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) on Thursday April 26, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday April 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. Myrtle will then be resting at Brunswick Funeral Home, 105 F. Tribe Road, Perth Andover on Saturday April 28, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. Interment will be held in Kincardine United Church Cemetery at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit (SJRH) or the charity of one’s choice.
