Noreen Stapley
STAPLEY, Noreen Frances – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Noreen on March 31, 2018 at Wentworth Lodge in Dundas. Noreen was born February 21, 1945 in Cobourg, Ontario. Beloved sister of Marilyn Johnman of Ancaster, her nephew Michael and niece Kerrie Bezemer (Rick). Remembered by her great nieces and nephews, Sienna, Derick and Lucas Bezemer and Madeline and Cynthia Johnman. Predeceased by her partner Gordon Dandy and by her brother Claire Stapley. Noreen is a graduate of McMaster University and went on to teach High School in Welland and retired in 1999. She then had more time to pursue her creative skills, sewing, knitting, crafting. She loved to walk with her various yellow labs. She became very involved with the United Empire Loyalist Association of Canada, Colonel John Butler Branch. She spent endless hours researching her family history and found our UEL connection. The family will receive family and friends at the DODSWORTH AND BROWN Funeral Home ANCASTER CHAPEL, 378 Wilson St. E., Ancaster, Ontario on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 1-2 p.m. followed by a Service of Remembrance at 2p.m. Interment will take place at a later date in the Eggleton-Clarke cemetery in Stirling , Ontario. She will join her parents Marjorie and Kenneth Stapley and many other relatives. Many thanks to the kind and caring staff at Wentworth Lodge.
