It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Olga Lacentra, on Thursday, April 5, 2018, in her 84th year. She is survived by her loving husband Antonio Lacentra of 48 years. Devoted mother to John and his wife Diana (Chiaravalle). Cherished Nonna of Isabella and Gabriella.
Loved sister who will be dearly missed by Nina Salvio (Brazil), dear sister and sister-in-law of Orazio and Nicolina Maiuri, Natale and the late Elena Maiuri, Nicola and the late Sebastiana Lacentra and Graziella Lacentra (Nicola) of Italy. Predeceased by her sibling Paola Maiuri and sister-in-law Stella Maiuri (Italy Cosenza). Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Peter’s Hospital, Arbour Creek Long Term Care and Juravinski Hospital for their care and compassion.
Visitations will take place at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E., Hamilton, ON, on Saturday, April 7 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, April 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Vigil prayers will be held on Sunday, April 8 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 9, 2018, 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, (165 Prospect St N, Hamilton) Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
