Edith L. Hynes
1951-2018
It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Edith L. Hynes, 66, of
Amherst. Edith passed away peacefully at Cumberland Regional
Health Care Centre on Saturday, March 31, 2018 with family by her
side.
Born in Amherst, NS, she was a daughter
of the late Elvie and Luetta (Read) Coates.
Edith was a member of the United Church
of Canada.
She will be dearly missed by her
daughters, Jamie Soufflet (Dan), Brookdale, NS, Marsha Wessell (Jeff
Stiles), Amherst, NS; grandchildren, Danica, Ethan, Shane, Michelle,
and Michala; sisters, Mildred Desbarres of Bradford, ON, Grace Jones,
Red Deer, AB, Joan (Alan) Hawkes, Brookdale, NS, Susan (Wayne) Babin,
Dartmouth, NS; brother George, Kittimatt, BC; sister in law Donna
Coates of Red Deer, AB; many nieces, nephews, great and great great
nieces and nephews and many extended family
She is predeceased by her husband Vernon
Hynes and brother Ralph.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church
St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where visiting hours will take place
on Wednesday 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held
from Furlong~Jones Funeral Home on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2 pm,
Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Burial will take place in the
Amherst Cemetery in the spring.

choice.
