Gone But Not Forgotten
Gotthold Korner, Gordie or Papa as he was known to his loved ones, was born July 3, 1930 in Cogealac, Romanian and immigrated to Canada from Germany in March 1952. He passed away with his loving family at his side on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the age of 87 years.
Gordie was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years Erika Korner in 2014. He will be forever remembered by his children: Ron (Sharon), Ed (Trish), Dean, and Daren (Marie); his eight grandchildren; and his five great-grandchildren. Gordie provided endless laughter and love to everyone.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Prairie View Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home (1605 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with viewing beginning prior to the service at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
