Florence Harvey
HARVEY (Harnett), Florence Elizabeth, age 78, of Dartmouth.
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Florence at the Dartmouth General Hospital on March 11, 2018.
Born in St. John’s, NL, to the late McCall and Stella (O’Neill) Harnett. She was married to Maurice E. Harvey for 59 years; she was a wonderful homemaker, mother, and wife.
Florence is survived by her children, Debbie (Ray) Casas, Lantz, Edward (Shannah) Harvey, Musquodoboit Harbour, Andrea (the late Paul) Cox, Lee (Cindy), both of Dartmouth; her loving sister Patricia (Gerald) Giles; grandchildren, Joshua and Jenna Casas, Shaylee Harvey, Raven and Pyper Harvey, and Noah Cox; nephews Scott and Curtis Giles and their families; and many in-laws and family members across Canada.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held from 1-2:30pm on Thursday March 15th in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth immediately followed by a graveside service at 2:30 in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dalhousie Medical Research Fund Molly Appeal for Cancer Research, 5743 University Ave., Suite 98, P.O. Box 15000, Halifax, N.S., B3H 4R2.
The family wishes to thank Northwood Home Care for the wonderful personal care to Florence for the past 9 years, as well as the staff of Dartmouth General Hospital, where the medical assistance was outstanding.
