Lionel Comeau
1932-2018
REXTON, NB – Lionel Comeau 85, of Rexton passed
away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital
Center in Moncton on Sunday, March 11, 2018. Born in Kent
Junction, he was the son of the late Felix Comeau and late Suzanne
(Chevarie) Comeau. He attended the Immaculate Conception
Roman Catholic Church in Rexton.
Lionel will be sadly missed by his wife, Geralda (Chevarie)
Comeau of Rexton, one daughter, Gisèle Furman (Kevin) of
Pembroke, ON; two sons, Gary Comeau (Lori) of Quispamsis, Brian Comeau
(Am) of Penfield; seven grandchildren and two great
grandchildren.
He is also survived by two sisters, Lorraine Chevarie (late
Arthur) of Richibucto, Doris Comeau (late Louis Savoy) of Richibucto;
three brothers, Norbert Comeau (late Marie) of Richibucto, Clement
Comeau (Gaetanne) of Ste. Anne de Madawaska, Yvon Comeau (Madeleine)
of Richibucto and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters,
Priscille, Sylvia, Claudia, Léona and two brothers, Felix
and Philias.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home,
Richibucto on Sunday from 7-9 pm, Monday at 9:00 am until time of the
funeral. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday,
March 19, 2018 at 11:00 am, Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel,
Richibucto. Donations in Lionel’s memory may be
made to the NB Heart & Stroke Association or the Immaculate
Conception Roman Catholic Church. Arrangements are in the
professional care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto
(523-4252).
