Obituary of Henry Brinkman
BRINKMAN: Henry William –
A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Leamington, Henry Brinkman passed away at the Windsor Regional Hospital – Ouellette Campus on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the age of 73.
Born in Hasselt, The Netherlands, Henry was the son of the late Gerrit and Alberdina (Hultink) Brinkman.
Beloved husband of 50 years to Jeanne (nee Allemeersch).
Loving father of Tracy Ravensbergen (William) of Smithville and Jennifer Bergsma (Timothy) of Chatham.
Proud Grandpa to Lauren, Benjamin, Khirsten and Madeleine Ravensbergen and Hadassah, Emma and Ezra Bergsma.
Dear brother to Christine St. Croix (late Gene), Willy DeJonge (Pete) and Joe Brinkman (Irene). Predeceased by his oldest brother John Brinkman (survived by Edith).
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Henry worked as an electrician and in sales and real estate throughout his career in the Chatham area. He loved donating his time to various charities, including Loads of Love, Neighbourlink and the Shepherd’s Way.
Henry enjoyed reading, bible studies, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.
Following the private family interment at Botany Cemetery, a Funeral Service will be held at Living Hope Free Reformed Church, 159 Gregory Drive East, Chatham at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 with Pastor Tim Bergsma officiating.
