Lovingly Remembered
Klaas Vink, beloved husband of Mrs. Tjitske Vink of Calgary passed away at home on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the age of 91 years.
Klaas was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1950. He studied to become a Chemical Engineer while he was working to support his family. Klaas enjoyed volunteering with CESO for projects in Peru, Bolivia, Jamaica, Grenada and China. He loved to travel and spent six months in Australia and New Zealand. He was an avid ham radio operator and often participated in the weekly Aurora Net.
He was the loving father of Christine Fancie (Jay) of Aurora, ON, Derek Hart of Kelowna, BC, Joyce Jagt of Waterdown, ON and Andrew (Rebecca) Vink of Calgary; he will also be dearly missed by his ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Klaas will also be remembered by Vladimir and the amateur radio community and his neighbours. Klaas was predeceased by his parents and his sister Sjouktje.
