Kathleen « Katie »
Lukey, 88, passed away peacefully at Northumberland
Hall, Amherst, on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Katie was born
in Medicine Hat, Alberta, a daughter of the late Michael and Annie
Lukey.
Katie enjoyed the social life and
dancing. She was fond of people and animals and was known
for her smile and twinkle.
She will be sadly missed by her
daughter, Linda Lukey, of Port Elgin and one grandson, Zen
Lukey-Denysenko, of Fredericton; a sister, Mary-Ann Mason, Red Deer,
AB, as well as a half-brother, Steve Kushba, Winnipeg,
MB.
Besides her parents she was predeceased
by her six brothers and sisters.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Homes,
Sackville and Port Elgin (506-538-2241). Honouring Katie’s
wishes, there is to be no visitation or funeral services at this
time. Interment will be held in the spring.
The family wishes to extend their
heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Northumberland
Hall, Amherst for their compassion and care to Katie during her six
years with them.
Donations in memory of Katie may be made
to a charity of the donor’s choice.
