Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce Shirley’s passing on February 7th, 2018 after a brief illness at the Health Science Centre. Shirley is predeceased by her husband, Ronald Lundrigan; parents, John and Elsie Craniford; daughter, Beverley Oliver; infant son, Stephen Crane; sisters, Annie Miller, Ruby Tilley and grandson, Christopher Power.
Our much loved mother and grandmother leaves with fond and loving memories her children; Gary Crane at Port Coquitlam; Debbie Murphy; Judy Power (Gerry); Terry Christian-Quinton (Fred); son-in-law, Karol Oliver; and grandchildren, Stephen Murphy, Brad Power (Katie), Erin Power (B.J.), Matthew Oliver (Cindy) and Kyle Crane (at Port Coquitlam). Shirley also leaves to mourn her brothers, Doug Craniford (Marjorie), Wayne Craniford (Genevieve); sister-in-law, Barbara Scurrey (Frank); brother-in-law, Gerald Lundrigan (Marg) and a large circle of other relatives and friends, including her card buddies at Kelly’s Brook apartment, and her long-time co-workers at Woolworths. Thank you to Goldie for her compassion during mom’s last weeks and thanks to Dr. Andrew Hutton for his many years of care and compassion.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s, on Thursday, February 8th from 2:00 to 9:00 pm, and Friday February 9th from 12:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Carnell’s Memorial Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday, February 10th at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Wednesday, February 14th at 2 pm. Flowers or donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Association are gratefully accepted.
