Peacefully at home with family by her side, on Tuesday, January 30th, 2018, in her 66th year. She is survived by her husband Sherman Blair, loving daughters, Kristine Hardy (Chris) and Erin Watson. Proud Nana to Grace, Paige and Jack Hardy. She will be deeply missed by her family and many close friends. She is pre-deceased by her parents Ken and Helen Wheildon of Owen Sound. Penny had a spinal cord injury at age 12 and never saw it as a barrier. She worked over 30 years at the Land Registry Office and after retirement found a passion coordinating peer support for individuals with spinal cord injury. Penny found time for variety of hobbies over the years, recently using her talents to create beautiful art. Family and friends will be received at the Memorial Funeral Home (1559 Fanshawe Park Rd E, London, 519-452-3770) on Friday, February 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Penny’s life will be
held in the chapel on Saturday, February 3 at 11 a.m. with reception to follow, Rev. Keith McKee officiating.
Private family interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Penny are asked to consider the Spinal Cord Injury Program at Parkwood Institute.
