Obituary
Mom quietly slipped away from us while holding hands with Leonard, her sweetheart of 70 years, after dinner on January 21.
Born in Westville, Nova Scotia, the fourth of five children to Rob Roy and Marie Henderson. Catherine met her handsome junior Smoke Eaters goalie Leonard at the Trail Arena in1947 and they have been inseparable since. Known by many raised in the Lois Creek area as “Auntie Kay with the best brownies”.
Catherine is survived by her husband , Leonard, four children Donald (Bev) of Calgary, Donna of Kimberley, Robert (Linda) of Kamloops, William (Michael) of Vancouver, 21 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren all over the world. Sisters Maggie Murphy of Nelson, Zena Milne of Victoria and Louise Henderson of Kimberley. Catherine was a loving mother, caring grandmother to her many offspring, not to mention all the kids of Lois Creek.
Memorial Service will be held at the Kimberley United Church on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm with a social tea to a follow in the hall.
