Obituary for Olive Elsie Jacobs (Rogers)
It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Olive Elsie Jacobs announces her passing. Olive passed away from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 at the age of 65 years.
Olive was predeceased by her parents – John and Josie Rogers; parents-in-law – Isaac and Beulah Jacobs.
Left with a lifetime of wonderful memories is her husband – Havelock Jacobs, Westport, NL; children – Joanne Rice (Derrick), Westport, NL, Golda Chambers (Mark), Guelph, ON, Jason Jacobs (Vanessa), Westport, NL, Tammy Jacobs, Westport, NL and John Jacobs (Kelly), Prince Albert, BC; grandchildren – Keegan, Taylor, Kiya, Tamara, Karissa, Ocean (Devon), Emma, Caroline, Isaiah and Keira; great-grandchildren – Logan and Nathan; siblings – Annie Matthews, Stanley Rogers (Judy), May Anstey, Carl Rogers (Rosalind), Jacqueline Elliott (Harvey) and Malcolm Rogers (Marilyn); siblings-in-law – Violet Andrews, Stanley Jacobs (Phoebe), Ross Jacobs (Winnie), Rex Jacobs (Bonnie), Golda Hurley (Boyd); and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Reverend Charlene Laing will conduct the funeral service from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Westport, NL on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018 at 2:00PM.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Peter’s Anglican Church Fund, Westport, NL.
