Passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers on January 20, 2018 in the presence of his loving family. Predeceased by his parents, James and Mary Kennedy (nee Tubrett); brothers, James, Robert, Ellis, Gerald and Kevin; sisters, Ada, Eileen, Angela, and Elizabeth. Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life, wife Lucella (nee Molloy), daughter Lisa (Jamie Picco), sons Jimmy (Janelle), Jason (Janet), Justin (Tracy), and Julien (Susan); grandchildren, Crystal, Katrina-Lynn, Nicholas, Leah, Jessica, Liam and Emma, great-grandchild Patrick; brothers, Ray (Shirley), Gordon (Marie), Rivlyn (Catherine), Aiden (Alicia); sisters, Geraldine (Edgar Vokey- deceased); Genevieve (Mike Stapleton). Also, leaving to mourn brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. A big thank-you to the staff at Pleasant View Towers for the kindness shown during his stay and making his final days so comfortable. Also, a special thank-you to Dr. Paul Jackman who was there when dad’s journey with dementia began. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday January 22, 2018 and Tuesday January 23, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 am on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
