Roderick Hugo Wenzel died unexpectedly in Kitchener, Ontario on January 14th, 2018 at the age of 55 years old. Born 11 June 1962 in Kitchener, Rod was the son of Joan McCullagh and the late Peter Wenzel, step-son to Anna Wenzel. Proud father and grandfather of Aasiya Victoria Walling (Mahmood Qasim) Jusef, Ibrahim and Summaiya, Jessica Joan Turner (Ian Tomaszewski) and Sabrina Lindsley Wenzel (Riley Voth) and Autumn. Brother to Katherine (Larry Leonard), Chris Wenzel (Monica Kalra), the late Mark Wenzel (Marion Hazlitt), Anita (Andrew Tyrell) and Alexander (Lacy Collins). Rod had a large array of relatives and friends in Germany, California, Aurora, Southampton and Cambridge. A Celebration of Life is to be held at the Walker House, High Street, Southampton on Easter Saturday March 31st, 2018 from 1:30 to 4:30 pm. Interment of ashes in Southampton Cemetery, June 2018.
