Baird, Madonna E. (November 23, 1928 – January 18, 2018)
Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Thursday January 18, 2018 at the age of 89 years, Madonna Elizabeth Bernadette Baird. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Bride (nee Nolan) Baird and her brother Kevin (late Zena). Leaving to mourn are her two sisters Irene and Dorothy Baird pvbm, as well as several cousins and a circle of friends. Many thanks to the staff of 3 West, 3 North and the Physiotherapy and Recreation departments of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for the care and compassion they showed Madonna. Madonna had a lengthy career with the Federal Government in the Department of Public Works and Revenue Canada. She was also a dedicated volunteer for 16 years with the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank at St. Teresa’s Parish. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road, on Saturday, January 20,2018 and Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held from Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the Gathering place.
