Obituary of Bernice Wellman
Bernice Florence Annie Wellman (Carroll), a longtime resident of Dresden, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the age of 85. Bernice was born in Wallaceburg, the daughter of the late Harold and Viola (Simpson) Carroll. Beloved wife of the late Gerry Wellman. Together again. Loving mother of Cindy and her husband Hugh Gurnham. Cherished by her grandchildren Chris (Jen), Sean (Martha), Kate (Ben) and Laura. Proud to be a great grandmother to Dustyn, Devon, Madison and little Sam. Loving mother of Catherine and her husband David Hamilton. Cherished by her grandchildren Rebecca and Tiffany. Loving mother of Rob and her fur babies Bear the Pug and Billy the Cat. Loving mother of Darlene and her husband Jeff Hopper. Cherished by her granddaughter Victoria. Bernice had eight brothers and she has now joined Russ, Bill and Doug. Dearly loved by her brothers Jack, Wayne, Dean, Lloyd, Pat Carroll and their families. A special thank you to the ICU staff at London Health Sciences Centre, University for their excellent compassionate care. Bernice was an avid reader – she simply couldn’t be without a book.
