Obituary of Hilda Shurr
In her 104th year on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Maple Grove in Dunnville. Predeceased by her husband Ivan (1988). Dear mother of Douglas, the late Jean (1994), and Larry (Lorene). Loving grandma of Kathy (Dan), Brent (Jocelyne), Elaine, Ralph (Joyce), Ken (Gidget), and the late Jeff (2005) (Corinne). Great-grandma to 13, great-great-grandma to 5. Special thanks to the wonderful caring manager Debbie and staff of Maple Grove, where she resided for 5 years. We are very thankful to Dr. Smith for the many visits to Maple Grove to care for Hilda. Hilda was always interested in her church, the farm and the filed crops. She also enjoyed travelling with her friends. Friends will be received at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad St. Ed., Dunnville on Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. A service will take place at the funeral home chapel on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment at Sweet’s Corners Christian Church Cemetery. If desired, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
