Neil John Swyers
1950-2017
It is with great sadness that the family of the
Late Neil John Swyers announce his passing at Western Memorial
Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, NL on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the
age of 66 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his
wife Wilfreda; sons: Raymond (Kathy), Melvin; daughter Ruby;
grandchildren: Joshua, Ashley, Crystal, Paige, Bailey, Randi, Katie,
Anthony, Kody, Travis, Jake; ten great-grandchildren; sisters:
Marjorie (Jim) Green, Debbie (Freddy) Morris; brothers: Brendan
Swyers, Gerald (Alice) Swyers; sister-in-law Laverne; brother-in-law
Eugene Young as well as other family and friends. He was pre-deceased
by his parents Richard and Sarah Swyers; brothers: Calvin, Brian;
sisters: Lorraine, Joanne and nephew Darrell Swyers. To honor and
respect Neil’s wishes cremation has taken place at Humber
Valley Crematorium, Pasadena, NL. Visitation will take place from St.
Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s, NL on Thursday,
January 12, 2017 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. from where the
funeral service will take place on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 10:00
a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating. Inurnment will take place
in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Court House Road, St.
George’s, NL at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones’
choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing,
NL.
