Yvon Maillet of Moncton passed away at The Kenneth E. Spencer
Memorial Home on Thursday, September 21, 2017.Born in Moncton, he was
the son of the late Albert and Lucie (O’Brien)
Maillet.
Yvon had a lengthy career of over 44 years with General
Motors dealerships. He had a passion for music, loved to putter away
at just about anything outside, he cherished moments spent with his
family and especially his grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Carole Maillet
(McCully), daughter, Dr. Kim Maillet-Arsenault (Daryl) of Moncton,
step daughters; Carla Whitson-Newton (Ken Kelly) of Moncton and Krista
Whitson-Lucier (Renê) of Bedford, grandchildren; Nicholas,
William, Sarah, Brett, Cody, Niam, Georgia and Quin. great
grandchildren; Gavin, Sadie and Brody as well as several nieces and
nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife,
Adelaine (Cormier), brothers; René, Romeo, Leo, Laurie and
Clarence, sisters: Viola, Simone and Lucille.
The family extends an invitation to friends and relatives to
join them at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330
Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Sunday, September 24, 2017
from 1-3 PM for a time to share and celebrate Yvon’s life.
The interment will take place in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or The Friends of The
Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online
