Winifred Rose Fox
Peacefully, with family by her side, on February 18, 2017 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, our beloved mother (nan), aged 83 years of West St. Paul, MB, went to be with her family in heaven.
Rose was born in Devon, England and at a young age met the love of her life, Tony. In 1967 Tony and Rose decided to move to Canada with only the clothes on their backs, to give their children a better start. Rose worked as a seamstress at Manitoba Clothing, a health care aide at Middlechurch Home, and also for many years as an aide at Luther Home.
Rose was blessed with many grandchildren and her love for them was endless. In her last few years at Middlechurch Home she made many new friends and was very compassionate towards other residents.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Tony, she leaves to mourn her children Adrian (Bridget), Amanda (Tim), Andrew (Brenda), Ashley (Colleen) and Anthony (Kim); grandchildren Derek, Trisha, Jordan, Shelby, Ryan (Jessica), Janie lee (Dennis), Curtis, Lauren, Paige and Jordan. Also left to mourn are special longtime friends of mom and dad from England, Martin, Olga and their family.
A celebration of her life will be held at Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior to. Private family interment will take place at the St. Pauls’ Anglican Churchyard in Middlechurch, MB.
Pallbearers will be Ashley, Curtis, Anthony, Jordan, Tim, Ryan, Adrian and Andrew.
The family would like to thank the staff at Middlechurch Home and Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and kindness towards Rose. Special thank you to Tracey for her compassion towards Mom and our family.
Today, tomorrow, our whole lives through, we will always love and cherish memories of you. We hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain, to walk with us throughout our lives. Until we meet again, love your family and grandkids.
