It is with very heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Dorothy “Dot” Alice Williams, 82, of Green Hill, Pictou County formerly of Little Bass River, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with her husband at her side.
Born in Little Bass River, she was a daughter of the late Ervin and Aletha Lawson.
Dot was a choir member in the United Churches of Westville, Bass River, and Five Islands.
She will be dearly missed by her husband Arnold; daughter Judy Pizzariello, Halifax; grandson Jayden; brothers, Dale Lawson, Bass River and Darrell Lawson (Peggy), Huntsville, Ont.; foster brothers George Seaton (Judy), Wawa, Ont. and Harold Seaton, Edmonton, Alta.; many nieces and nephews; special friends Betty Fulton, Little Bass River, Joyce MacDonald, Green Hill and Bev Chennell, Westville.
She was predeceased by her son Bradley; brothers Doug Lawson (Rene), and Donald Lawson (Lalia “Dade”).
Her family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul United Church, Westville with Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating and on Friday at 2 p.m. at Riverside United Church, Bass River with Rev. Florence Antle-Brison officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
