MORLEY, William (Bill)
WW II Veteran
Curator of Special Collections at Queen’s University, Bibliographer, Author & inveterate traveller, has taken his final journey. Bill died peacefully, surrounded by family at Kingston General Hospital, on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at the age of 97. He was the beloved widower of Beth Watters Morley; loving father of son Leslie H. (Primo) Morley (Jane Thrasher) of Kingston, and daughter Minou Morley (Jacques Goyer) of Ottawa (the children of Mae L. Morley of Kingston) and dear step-father of Libby Lund, Gray Watters (Pam Large), and Kit Brennan (Andrew Wilmer). He was the grandfather of Adam, Lynzi, Emma, Jérôme, and Françis. A Memorial Reception will be held at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME RECEPTION & CELEBRATION CENTRE, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston, on Saturday, January 20, 2018 between the hours of 3:00 and 5:00 pm, with Words of Remembrance at 4:00 pm. (Please enter the Reception Centre from the rear parking lot). As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kingston Humane Society in Mr. Morley’s memory.
