Passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 19, 2017 at Norview Lodge, Simcoe, Ontario.
Wilf Brown of Port Rowan in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Helen (Fleming) Brown who predeceased him October 23, 2010. Dear father of Gail Varga of Nova Scotia and stepfather of Karen and Arthur Smith of Markdale. Survived by daughter-in-law Diane Nicholson of St. Catharines. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Justin Varga, Cynthia Smith-Newman, Julie Farnsworth, Lisa Whitehead, Nadia Nicholson, Mark Nicholson, great-grandchildren Owen, Emily, Andrew, Olivia, Kristen, Melissa, Rihanna and great-great-grandson Liam. Survived by his sister-in-law Grace Brown of Grand Valley. Predeceased by his sister Dorothy and by brothers Ross & Ken.
A funeral service was held at Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front St., Port Rowan on Thursday October 12, 2017 at 11:00 am.
A reception and visitation will also be held at the May Funeral Home, Markdale on Saturday October 21, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Interment later in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound.
If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Sleeping Children Around the World (cheques accepted) would be appreciated.
