On December 21, 2016, Wilfred Patrick Dumbeck of St. Albert passed away at the age of 98 years.
Father was born in Webster, SD in 1918 and crossed the border into Canada in 1921 at the aage of three years with his dad. His early life was in Calgary, then the Peace country where he met Melba, and for the last fifty years in Edmonton. Our brave and happy father will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.
Wilfred is survived by his younger brother, John; children, William, Brian, Donna (Doug) and Paula (Ali); seven grandchildren, Lori (Bruce), Tim (Daylene); Dean (Carolyn), Jessica (Joseph), Suzanne (Corey), Patrick, and Imran (Zahra); eleven great-grandchildren, Shiloh (Mark), Balleigh (Ryan), Paige (Chance), Reily (Katie), Brooklyn (Logan), Larissa, Kayla, Jennifer, Sakina, Abbas-Ali and Sughra; eleven great-great grandchildren and many other family and friends. Wilfred was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Melba; parents, Ella and George; siblings, Imogene, Otis, Alvin and Eugene.
Memorial Service Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton with Pastor Doug Hale officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
