With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Werner Loiskandl surrounded by his family at Hospice Simcoe on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Liane (Cermak) for 66 years. Dear father of Dr. Rainer Loiskandl and father in law of Dr. Barb. Opi to Alexa (Justin) of Toronto, Anna of Haida Quaii, British Columbia, Ava of Toronto and Michael at home. Survived by his brother Dr. Helmut (Chieko) of Tokyo, Japan, and Ericka and Erich of Austria. Predeceased by brother Ekkehart (Anne) of Vienna, Austria. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at the Midland Golf and County Club, 9536 Highway #93 on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Mikey’s Place for Autism (Midland), Hospice Simcoe (Barrie) or The Horizon Geriatric Program (Penetanguishene). Thanks to the many compassionate health care professionals at Victoria Village, Royal Victoria Hospital, Horizons’ and Hospice Simcoe.
