Wendell Musgrave 2017

Wendell Musgrave
Sydney Mines
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father, brother, son and friend, Wendell Musgrave, on Friday, December 29, 2017, at the Northside General Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
Born in North Sydney on September 23, 1941, he was the son of the late Hammond and Betty (Day) Musgrave.
Wendell started his many successful business ventures in 1976 as owner/partner of R.B. Smith Wholesale, Picture Perfect, and later Family Suzuki in 1996. He was also the past owner of Executive Child Care and continued in sales until his later retirement. Wendell was a true believer in supporting his community, which he did in many ways.
He is survived by his loving son Corey (Corinne), grandsons David (Robin), Ian (Chantal), and Michael (Pearl), partner Patsy Quirk (and four-legged friend Digger). Also left to mourn are his sisters Marilyn (Earl), Brenda (Frank), Valerie and Trudy, great-granddaughters Morganne, Claire, Layla, Lily and Sonia, uncle Horace Musgrave, and long-time friend Albert MacDougall.
Wendell was predeceased by his wife Sharyn (Hopkins) Musgrave, and mother and father-in-law Max and Mary Hopkins.
Visitation for Wendell Musgrave will be held on Sunday, December 31, 2017, in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, Main St., Sydney Mines, from 2-4 p.m. The burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, and local food banks. Words of comfort may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
