Weldon Bannister
1928-2017
Weldon Currie Bannister, 88, of Havelock passed
away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at home.
Born in Petitcodiac he was the son of the late
Currie and Rella (Mann) Bannister.
Weldon was a retired Industrial Mechanic of 38 years with
Canada Cement Lafarge. He was an active member of the
Havelock Baptist church having served on boards and was a Sunday
School teacher. Weldon volunteered for many years with the St. John
Ambulance and the Havelock Memorial Hall.
He is survived and sadly missed by his wife of 60
years Nancy (Plume); sons Terry (Ann), Havelock, Tim, Saint John,
Trevor (Slena), Moncton; grandchildren Darcie Bell (Ben), SK, Justin
Bannister (Rachel), AB, Jeffery Bannister (Melissa), Moncton, Zachery
Bannister, Moncton, Emily Bannister, Moncton, Marie Baird, Truro, Alex
Bannister, ON, Alicia Bannister, Moncton; great grandchildren Noah,
Sadie, Corbin, Liam and Matthew; brothers Hanford and Arnold
Bannister, Petitcodiac and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased sister Elizabeth (Rachel) Bannister. Interment
at Greenhill Cemetery at a later date.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106
(372-4800) visiting will be Tuesday, March 28 from 5 to 8 pm.
The funeral will be held at the Havelock Baptist church,
Wednesday, March 29 at 2 pm with Pastor Jeff Irving and Rev. Bill
Parks officiating. Interment at Greenhill Cemetery at a
later date.
If desired, memorials to the Havelock Baptist
Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the
family.
