WEARMOUTH Kathryn “Kay Elizabeth (nee Whitnack) – November 10, 1925 to August 1, 2017

November 10, 1925 to August 1, 2017
Kay passed away peacefully at the Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Anne (Bruce) Brander, Marion Wearmouth, Roy (Lucille), Allan (Nina); 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sisters – Margo (Bud) Pals and Annie Clark; sisters-in-law – Shirley (Bob) Thomas, Vernice Wearmouth, Dot Whitnack; brother-in-law Dennis (Maida) Wearmouth; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Kay was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Walter, June 5, 2016. Kay’s early years were at Kathryn, Alberta. After marrying Walter, they farmed in the Bearspaw and Glendale districts between Calgary and Cochrane. Kay was a long-time member of the Glendale WI and Bearspaw Fair. Thank-you to Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane for providing loving care to mom, Tom Baker Unit 47, and to everyone for their care and concern.
A Celebration of Kay’s Life will be held at Bow Valley Baptist Church (54 W. Aarsby Road, Cochrane, AB) on Wednesday, August 09, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethany Care Centre Cochrane, 1000-32 Quigley Dr. Cochrane, AB T4C 1X9 or Alzheimer’s Society of Calgary, 201-222 58 Ave SW, Calgary AB T2H 2S3.
