Our family is devastated to announce that our beautiful and beloved Josie passed away at the age of 19 years in Vancouver where she was attending UBC. Josie’s gifts were many and her heart so full that everyone who came to know her, loved her. Her beauty was evident both inside and out.
Josie will be dearly missed by her parents Greg and Shelley; her siblings, Brian, River, Curran and Tessa; her grandmothers Marg Scott, and Sue Robinson; many adoring cousins, aunts, uncles; and numerous friends of all ages, in Calgary, Vancouver and where ever her far reaching spirit soared. She was predeceased by her grandfathers Bill Wearmouth and Earl Scott.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a fond memory or photo to share, and/or posting to #RememberingJosie. A Private Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Cochrane Country Funeral Home ( #6, 402 Railway St. W, Cochrane, AB ) from 6:00 – 8:00 pm for close friends and family. A Memorial Service will be held at RockPointe Church – Bearspaw (255024 Lochend Road, Calgary, AB) on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00 am . Reception and Internment at Cochrane Cemetery to follow. Together we will make a difference! Memorial donations to www.ChasCalgary.ca in Josie’s name will be stewarded to bridge the gaps in mental health services for young adults.
