~ Passed away peacefully at The Elliott
Community on Saturday November 18, 2017. Violet (nee Wally
Pulfus) Gruenbauer at the age of 92 years. Wife of the late Alfred
Gruenbauer (1992). Beloved mother of Johanna
Nielsen (late John) of Nanaimo, B.C. and James Gruenbauer (late
Margaret) of Dutton. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Suzanne
Peacock (Derek), Scott Cale (Teri), Richard Gruenbauer (Martina),
Robert Gruenbauer, Jennifer Bates MacDonald (Dan), Christine
Gruenbauer and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased
by her daughters Betty (Beate, 1959) and Patricia (1965) and her
seventeen brothers and sisters. Violet was a retired
seamstress at Homewood Health Centre where she worked for twenty
years. Special thanks to the Nottingham nurses and staff at
The Elliott Community and to Dr. Ruddock for their exceptional and
compassionate care.
Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre
& Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street,
Guelph (from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday
November 24, 2017). Funeral service will follow in
the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorial
contributions to the Homewood Health Centre would be
appreciated. We
