Obituary
Viola May Buchanan, in her 95th year, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2017 at Stillwater Creek Retirement Home in Bells Corners, Ontario.
Joyfully reunited with the love of her life Lt. Col. George Bruce Buchanan (1997) and her son Don “Bucky” Buchanan (2017).
Viola will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Brie and Scott. Survived by Valerie, wife of Don Buchanan, Anne- Marie (Dave), Charlene (Derek), Heather (Damon), great grandchildren Hayden, Tenley and George Avery.
Born and raised in Portage-La-Prairie, Manitoba, Viola later moved to Ottawa with her husband Bruce. She took great pride in working at the TD Bank and the Nepean Public Library. She loved to journal and catalog her family heritage. Viola will be remembered for her love of life, her strength, and sense of humour along with her loving personality. A tree will be planted in her memory. Cremation has already taken place.
