Vincent Shannon Fitzmorris
Fitzmorris, Vincent Shannon “Bubba”, age 53, of Porter’s Lake passed away peacefully on Nov 3rd, 2017 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Douglas and the late Mary Louise Downey.
Bubba was a loving husband, father, uncle and friend to many. He worked his whole life doing what he loved most- being a mechanic, recently being employed at Cargo Carriers in Burnside. Bubba enjoyed going to his childhood home in Drum Head where he loved spending time with his family. He was the kind of guy that would do anything for anybody.
Bubba is survived by his loving wife Connie; daughters, Morgan (Mitchell) Fitzmorris, Nicole Fitzmorris, both of Porters Lake; sons; Warren (Laurel), Tristan Roberts, Vincent Fitzmorris, all of Porter’s Lake; sisters, Faith O’Hara, Dixie (Bloise) Dalrymple, Shanna (Jim) Kinnear, Tara (Robin) Bower; brothers, Tony (Cheryl) O’Hara, Dwight (Lynn) Fitzmorris, Bert (Pam) Fitzmorris, Tyrone Fitzmorris, Sean (Ann) Fitzmorris; and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Homes, Dartmouth Chapel. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday November 8th in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Rev. James Haughn officiating. Reception to follow the service. Burial will take place at a later date in Drum Head.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Bank in Porter’s Lake in a trust fund for the family.
