Obituary for Vernon Warren John Day
It is with great and sudden sadness that the family of the late Vernon Warren John Day announce his passing at the Connaigre Penninsula Health Center in Harbour Breton on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the young age of 47.
He leaves to mourn with precious memories full of laughter: his spouse, Joyce Skinner; son, Christopher (Stephanie) of Stephenville; parents, Allan and Margaret Day of Harbour Breton; brother, Allan (Tracy, Nathaniel and Hannah) of Dartmouth, NS; mother-in-law, Mabel Skinner; brothers-in-law, Hubert (Edwina) Skinner, Ivan (Geraldine) Skinner, and Ben Skinner; sisters-in-law, Audrey (Luke) Jarvis, Gladys (Reg) Griffin and Lisa (Jim) Smith; his many more nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Vernon had a big heart and was blessed with a large circle of family and friends whom he also leaves behind with sadness.
Funeral Service was held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church at Harbour Breton with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
