Obituary for Vera May Soloway (nee Fraser)
After a valiant four year battle with cancer, Vera May (Fraser) Soloway passed away quietly on April 16, 2017 in Calgary, Alberta. Vera was born in Marshall, Saskatchewan on Saturday, April 8, 1935, a grandchild of the original Barr colonists who settled the Lloydminster area in 1903. After graduating high school in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Vera began a forty year career with BMO Bank of Montreal. The daughter of Russell and May (Topott) Fraser, she was predeceased by her parents, and niece Karen Lee Fraser. Vera is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Lee Fraser (Chilliwack, BC); nephew Rick Fraser and his wife Val Fraser (Calgary); and great-niece Kristina Hanley and her husband Andrew Hanley (Calgary); and numerous cousins.
