It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the sudden death of Terry Stewart of Eganville, on July 5th, 2017, in her 78th year. She was predeceased by her husband, John. They had been married for over 50 years. She is survived by her three children, Hayley, Michael (BJ) and Todd, three grandchildren, Robert, Mackenzie and Ashlyn, great granddaughter, Alexandria, her sister, Carla (Peter) and her brother, Olaf (Linda).
She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her nieces, Melodie (Greg), Vickie & Samantha, her nephew, Shane, her great nieces, Emilie & Keira, and her great nephews, Liam & Eric. She was predeceased by her parents, Erik and Friedel (Ropke) Tix and her second father, Olaf (Vera) Ropke, her daughters, Heather Ann and Kim, and granddaughter, Hannah. She moved to Eganville in 1989, with her husband John, to start up “The Hobit “ Bed and Breakfast on Wellington Street. The Stewarts quickly became very active in Eganville and surrounding communities, volunteering at the tourist booth, as crossing guards, and helping out with many church and charitable organizations. For those who ever met Terry, they will never forget her. She was a unique and caring individual that had an amazing way with anyone that crossed her path. She is at peace now and is reunited with her soul mate/dog, “Frodo” and the many other loved ones who have predeceased her.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Eganville on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 12 noon. A reception will follow.
